Principal’s message
What is next after class XII examinations? CUET, NEET, JEE, BITSAT, ICAR, AILET, GATE, HSEE, NIFT and similar other Entrance tests have become the gateway to enter into higher studies. Gone are the days when students could walk into the portals of higher educational institutions without such tests. Today, no student can think of pursuing higher studies without going through such narrow doors.
St. John Bosco, popularly known as Don Bosco, lived according to the signs of the time. He founded religious and educational society “Salesians of Don Bosco” for the education of the young. He was a great educationist of the 19th century whose pedagogy is based on “Reason, Religion and Kindness.”
Don Bosco’s philosophy of education
Don Bosco based his system of education on the three pillars of “Reason, Religion and Kindness”. He did not visualize education in isolation from the needs of the community. Vocational guidance, training and job placement were integral to his scheme of things.
Accordingly at Don Bosco College Higher Secondary Section we believe in:
- An education that is affordable to the average categories of society;
- Creating an educative family of students, staff and management, marked by transparency, mutual respect, constant interaction and caring support;
- Aiming at the integrated development of our students and empowerment of our teachers;
- Building competence and skills for employability and quality of life;
- Inculcating the spiritual and moral value systems that sustain individuals and society;
- Extension services beyond the campus and beyond self.
