Residential life

Hostels

A supportive home away from home for outstation students — structured days, clear expectations, and care within the Salesian tradition.

The College has four hostels:

(a) Don Bosco College Boys’ Hostel, to accommodate 120 boys in single and shared rooms;
(b) Don Bosco College Boys’ Hostel Annexe, to accommodate 30 boys in single rooms;
(c) Auxilium Girls’ Hostel, to accommodate 90 girls in shared rooms;
(d) Margaret Bosco Girls’ Hostel, to accommodate 30 girls in single rooms. The respective wardens are to be approached for admission.

Life in residence

  • Supervision & safety

    Residential life is organised with clear norms, roll calls, and staff presence so students can study and rest in a secure environment.

  • Rules & routine

    Hostel rules align with college discipline: study hours, silence timings, and respect for common spaces — details are shared at admission and in the handbook.

  • Dining & mess

    Meals are served as per the college schedule. Special dietary needs, where feasible, may be discussed with the office in advance.

  • Pastoral care

    The Salesian educative community supports growth in character and faith within an atmosphere of reason, religion, and kindness.
